Arshad Warsi: One of the best Bollywood actors
Mumbai: In Bollywood, Arshad Warsi has long been regarded as an actor who has been ruling the hearts of his fans for nearly two decades by his outstanding comedy roles.
Arshad Warsi was born in a Muslim family in Mumbai on April 19, 1968. His father’s name was Ahmed Ali Khan. Arshad had been interested in making his career in films since his childhood. He had to start his life with huge struggles.
He received his early education from the boarding school in Nashik, but due to poor family situations, he could not further his education beyond 10th standard. For his immense interest in dance, he joined Akbar Sami’s dance group and won the Indian Dance Competition in 1991. He then turned to Bollywood.
In the early days of his career in Bollywood, Arshad worked as Mahesh Bhatt’s assistant. Arshad Warsi acted as a dance director in the film ‘Rup Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja‘ in 1993.
The first opportunity for Arshad to star in Hindi cinema came from Amitabh Bachan’s film ‘Tere Mere Sapne’. The film proved to be a hit. After this film he acted in a few films like ‘Betabi, Hero Hindustani, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Jani Dushman’ but, unfortunately, he failed to make his mark in Bollywood.
In the year 2003, Arshad was fortunate to prove himself in Bollywood with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. In this film, he played the role of a unique and strong character called ‘Circuit’. He is seen as Sanjay Dutt’s right hand in the story which would probably always occupy the hearts and souls of Bollywood fans.
He, then, appeared in Raju Hirani’s sequel (of Munna Bhai MBBS), Lago Rhao Mana Bhai. He bagged several awards for both films.
