Jammu: An army officer has been killed in firing between Indian and Pakistani forces on the Line of Control (LoC) in Naushera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources said that the Pakistani army started firing at Indian posts on the Line of Control (LoC) in Naushera sector of Rajouri at around 5 AM without any reason.
He said that the soldiers present there responded fully to the Pakistani attack, during which one soldier was seriously injured and later succumbed to death.
Sources said that the area of LoC from Kalal to Baba Khori was shaken by fire posture causing fear and panic among the people of nearby areas.
This year, there have been more than 2 thousand incidents of firing so far between the two sides on the international border and LoC.
Despite the cease-fire agreement between the two nations and the Coronavirus epidemic continuing for the past few months, the border kept constantly heating, making life difficult for people living across the border.
