Opposition parties mobilised in Pakistan, government reacts with arrests
Opposition parties in Pakistan took out a rally against Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government followed by the arrest of Captain Safdar Awan, son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
Islamabad: The government is in action after the opposition party mobilised against the Imran Khan government in Pakistan and Capt. Safdar Awan, son-in-law of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has been arrested on Monday.
On Sunday, a big rally was organised by the opposition parties against the government of Imran Khan, in which thousands of people gathered.
Mariam Sharif, daughter of Nawaz Sharif and leader of the Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz, tweeted to inform about her husband’s arrest.
Police broke my room door at the hotel I was staying at in Karachi and arrested Capt. Safdar.

Maryam alleged, “Police broke my room door at the hotel I was staying at in Karachi and arrested Capt. Safdar.” Apart from Maryam Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto, Shahid Khakkan Abbasi, Maulana Fazlur Rahman and Mahmud of Awami Party were the leaders in the rally included in the last day rally.
Prime Minister Imran Khan remained the target of opposition leaders while various opposition leaders addressed the rally. It’s to be noted that a rally was organised recently, which was addressed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif through video conferencing from London.
