Vande Bharat Express to be major J&K source of development: Shah
Home Minister Amit Shah has flagged off the country’s second semi-speed train ‘Vande Bharat Express’ at New Delhi Railway Station between Mata Vishnudevi Katra, located in Jammu and Kashmir.
New Delhi, Oct 3 (HAMS) Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday flagged off the country’s second semi-speed train ‘Vande Bharat Express’ at New Delhi Railway Station between Mata Vishnudevi Katra, located in Jammu and Kashmir from Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the semi-high-speed train has become a major source of development for Jammu and Kashmir.
The Katra Vande Bharat Express train will start its regular service from October 5. The train will complete its destination in eight hours instead of 12 hours from Delhi to Katraka. Mr. Shah said on the occasion that it was a great gift for the development of Jammu and Kashmir as it would promote religious tourism. The Article 370 of the Constitution was a major hindrance to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. Within ten years, the region will become one of the most developed states the country and Vande Bharat Express will be a major source of development for the same. He said that Indian Railways will play a major role in achieving the target of Prime Minister Narendra Modi making India $ 50 trillion economy.
