The Constitution Amendment Bill for a new map bordering India has been tabled a day after the Nepal Armed Police Force (NAPF) killed one Indian national and two others injured along the border of Sitamarhi district. One person has also been detained.

The firing took place after a difference, which has turned to be ugly in Sitamarhi border of the Indian side. The NAPF personnel opened fire at the Indian side killing one Indian national while two person were seriously injured and one was detained.

Nepal government did not waste much time to get into the approval process from its Parliament. However, India has recently made attempts to get things settled diplomatically. India had also reminded Kathmandu about its uninterrupted supplies of essentials to Nepal during the lockdown period caused by COVID-19 outbreak.

India’s relations with China have also recently not been going well for quite sometimes. Rahul Gandhi has recently asked Rajnath Singh to make the India-China border situation clear.
