2020 Eastern Economic Forum to be cancelled or postponed?
Russia Minister says it is too early to speak about the cancellation of 2020 Eastern Economic Forum
Moscow: Minister of the Development of Russian Far East Alexander Kozlov has said that, for now, it is too early to tell about a possible cancellation of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) slated for September 2020.
Next EEF is expected to hosted by Russia’s Far Eastern city of Vladivostok from September 2 to 5. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the events such as Yalta International Economic Forum, St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi have already been postponed or cancelled by Russia.
Minister of the Development of Russian Far East Alexander Kozlov has said, “It is too early to discuss about that. Everything will depend on the development of the situation.” The statement was given by the Kozlov to Sputnik when asked about possible cancellation or postponement of the EEF in the light of the COVID-19 outbreak. He said that health and human lives are the most important things for us or the country.
