Announcement of economic package storms in the stock market
Mumbai: The announcement of the economic package by the prime minister has stormed in the stock market today. The stock market plunged sharply on the back of a Rs 20 lakh crore economic package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcement of the economic package aimed at getting the Coronavirus-hit economy back on track.
The BSE Sensex opened 1427 points higher at 32841.87 points. In the opening trade, it reached the top level of 32845.48 points on the tail of the level. However, the Sensex is currently trading at 32,094 points, up 723 points.
National Stock Exchange NSE Nifty opened 382 points higher at 9584.20 points. On the back of the level, it made a jump to the highest level of 9585.50 points in the opening trade. However, it was after a recession, which has now risen 213 points to 9,409 points.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will give detailed information at 4 pm today regarding the announcement of the economic package made by the Prime Minister.
