India witnesses consistent increase in prices of petrol, diesel

The petrol price in Delhi increased by 56 paise to Rs 78.37 per liter on Friday. In Kolkata, the price of petrol increased by 54 paise to Rs 80.13 per liter, in Mumbai by 55 paise to Rs 85.21 per liter and in Chennai by 50 paise to Rs 81.82 per liter.

New Delhi: In the national capital of Delhi today for the 13th consecutive day, the price of petrol rose to Rs 78 per liter and diesel to Rs 77 per liter.

Since June 7, the prices of petrol and diesel have been steadily increasing in the country. In these 13 days, petrol has increased by Rs 7.11 i.e. 9.98 percent and diesel by Rs 7.67 i.e. 11.05 percent.

According to Indian Oil Corporation, the country’s largest oil marketing company, the petrol price in Delhi rose 56 paise to Rs 78.37 per liter on Friday, the highest level since November 7, 2018. After a 63 paise increase in the price of diesel, it sold for the first time from Rs 77 to Rs 77.06 per liter.

In Kolkata, the price of petrol increased by 54 paise to Rs 80.13 per liter, in Mumbai by 55 paise to Rs 85.21 per liter and in Chennai by 50 paise to Rs 81.82 per liter.

Diesel has increased by 57 paise to Rs 72.53 per liter in Kolkata, 60 paise to Rs 75.53 per liter in Mumbai, and 54 paise to Rs 74.77 per liter in Chennai.
