CBSE: Supreme Court approves Internal Assessment Scheme for results
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday approved the draft of the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) plan to release exam results based on internal assessment for the canceled exams of class 10th and 12th.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development and CBSE, drafted the new notification in accordance with yesterday’s order of the bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice Sanjeev Khanna, which was accepted.
The Supreme Court made it clear that the CBSE order on cancellation of the remaining examinations of 10th and 12th, and various related aspects, will be regulated under the new notification.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that CBSE would issue a new notification within an hour, as the students are waiting impatiently for the same. However, the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) asked for a week’s time for new notification.
