New Delhi: Within 24 hours on Wednesday, more than 29,0000 new cases have been reported amidst an increase in the daily cases of fatal coronavirus. At the same time, the number of coronavirus infections in the country has crossed 936,000. In this period, more than 20,000 patients have also recovered.
According to the latest data released on Wednesday by the Union Health Ministry, 29,429 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infected people to 9,36,181.
Earlier, more than 28 thousand cases were reported in three consecutive days. The number of deaths has increased to 24,309 with 582 deaths within 24 hours.
Among the fast-growing cases, there is good news that the number of recoveries has been steadily increasing and more than 20,572 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of cured persons has reached 5,92,032. The country currently has 3,19,840 active cases of coronavirus.
Maharashtra is the most affected state of the coronavirus in the country with 6,741 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infected people to 2,67,665. During the same period, 213 people have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 10,695. In the state of Maharashtra, 1,49,007 people have recovered so far.
