Beijing / Geneva / New Delhi: The global epidemic of coronavirus (COVID-19) has infected 64.98 million people worldwide and more than 3.86 million people have died of the virus so far.
These latest figures have been released by the Center for Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. The Covarnavirus has, so far, infected 6498486 people worldwide and killed 385649 people. The number of those recovered from theis is 2706352 infected patients.
The United States tops the list of the most affected countries in the world. Brazil comes second and Russia third in terms of being infected with the Covarnavirus. In terms of the death toll from the epidemic, the United States again comes first, Britain second and Italy third in the list.
In the last 24 hours, 9304 new cases of Covarnavirus have been recorded in India. The total number of Corona infections has risen to 216919. The death toll has risen to 6,075 from 260 killed during the same period. There are currently 106,737 active cases of Covarnavirus in the country, while 104,107 people have been recovered from the epidemic.
