Only Delhi people to be treated in Delhi government hospitals: Kejriwal
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that in view of the rising number of corona infection, now only Delhiites will be treated in Delhi hospitals. Mr. Kejriwal said this in a digital press conference on Sunday.
He said that the Delhi government had decided that all Delhi government hospitals and private hospitals would treat only the people of Delhi. He said that people coming from all over the country for treatment would be able to seek treatment in the central government hospitals. Keeping this in mind, the borders of Delhi would be opened from tomorrow.
He said that he had asked for advice from the Delhi people on the issue of treatment in Delhi hospitals. Seven and a half lakh people had expressed their opinions on this. In these deliberations, 90 percent of the people have given the advice to treat only people of Delhi in Delhi government hospitals.
The decision was taken by the Cabinet today after consultation with the people. The arrangement has been made to provide maximum medical facilities to the people of Delhi during the COVID-19 crisis.
