West Bengal extends lockdown till July 31 to contain COVID-19 spread
Kolkata: The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced the extension of lockdown in the state’s containment zones till July 31 to contain the spread of COVID-19.
In view of the increasing number of coronavirus patients across the country, including West Bengal Bengal, the state government has decided to extend the lockdown period. The lockdown will continue primarily in containment zones. Some restrictions will be relaxed.
As of Tuesday, the total number of affected people in West Bengal has reached 14,626. However, a total of 531 people has also recovered.
