24 people found COVID-19 positive in Tablighi Jama’at, New Delhi
New Delhi: The Tablighi Jamaat, a Center in the Hazrat Nizamuddin area of Delhi, could be a major setback to the government’s precautionary measures aimed at preventing the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). There were 24 people who found COVID-19 positive.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has said that 24 people were affected in a religious gather at the Markaz (Centre). He said that after the lockdown order, such gathering was illegal and demanded from the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to take strict action against the Markaz.
Health Minister has said that there were 1,500 to 1,700 people at the Markaz, out of which, 1033 people have been evacuated. About 335 have been admitted to different hospitals and 700 people have been kept in quarantine (isolated).
