A woman allegedly committed suicide after police did not write a report in the rape case. Following the five accused were arrested
Narsinghpur: Seven people including two police officers arrested in the case of rape of a woman in Chichli police station area of Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh have been sent to jail.
According to police sources, Anil Singh, who is in charge of police station Chichli, Mishrilal, in charge of the police station, Gauthoria police chowki, and the one who raped and abused the woman for which she allegedly committed suicide.
The woman allegedly committed suicide after police did not write a report in the rape case. Following the five accused were arrested, all had been sent to judicial custody yesterday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Anil Maheshwari accompanied the Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh to inspect the spot of the incident and assured the victim’s family that the police would do their utmost to bring the culprits to severe punishment.
At the same time, Collector Vedprakash has provided a check for the financial assistance of Rs one lakh to the member of the victim’s family.
