9 convicted for involving youth in terrorist activities
The court found Mohammad Nafees Khan, Abu Anas, Najmul Huda, Sohail Ahmed, Mohammed Obaidullah Khan, Mohammad Alim, Mohammad Abdul Samee Kasmi and Amjad Khan guilty of terrorist activities
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) special court located in New Delhi’s Patialaya House court complex on Saturday convicted nine more operatives of the Islamic State (IS) in the case involving youth in terrorist activities.
The IS operatives convicted by the court include Mohammad Nafees Khan, Abu Anas, Najmul Huda, Mohammad Afzal, Suhail Ahmed, Mohammed Obedullah Khan, Mohammad Alim, Mufti Abdus Samee Qasmi and Amjad Khan.
The court will sentence all of them on 22 September.
NIA had registered a case against all of them under Section 125 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 18, 18B and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) on 9 December 2015.
