Delhi government decides to launch ration home delivery scheme
Delhi government has decided to start a door-to-door ration delivery scheme. Once the scheme is in force, doorstep ration delivery will be made to the people of Delhi.
New Delhi: The Delhi government has announced a major door-to-door ration delivery scheme on Tuesday. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing to the media through video conferencing, Mr. Kejriwal said today that the Chief Minister has decided to start a door-to-door ration scheme. After the implementation of this scheme, the ration will be given to the people of Delhi at their doorsteps, and people will not have to go to the ration shop.
Mr. Kejriwal said that people will be given the option to go to the shop and buy ration, who want to buy ration from shops. People will have a choice to visit shops and get ration. He said that home delivery of ration would begin in the next six to seven months. Home delivery will replace wheat with flour
The Chief Minister also said that home delivery of ration will start in Delhi and the ‘One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme of the Central Government will also be launched on the same day.
The Chief Minister said that his government has made significant improvements in the arrangement of ration in the last five years. The decision of the cabinet is nothing short of a revolutionary decision. He said that people will no longer have to go to the ration shop under this scheme, but the ration will be delivered to people’s homes. Wheat will be picked from the FCI godowns to be milled. Rice and sugar will be packed and dispatched.
