Examinations for recruitment to 1.4 lakh posts of Railways to commence from December
2 crore 42 lakh applications were received for 1.4 lakh posts. The screening process for all these applications is complete.
New Delhi: The online computer-based examinations for recruitment of about 40,000 posts in Indian Railways will start from December 15.
Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board gave this information at a virtual press conference here today.
He said that after conducting NEET and other examinations, it has been decided that recruitment examinations for the previously announced 140,640 posts for Railways will start from December 15.
He said that 2 crore 42 lakh applications were received for these posts. The examination process of all these applications has been completed. Now the preparation for the examination of these candidates is underway. The exam date will be announced soon.
In response to a question, he also said that those who have been selected for Assistant Loco Pilot will definitely be taken into service. The Covid-19 epidemic has delayed their inclusion as they require training on machines and engines. They don’t have to be upset.
