Auraiya: The family of martyred Policeman has raised questions on the arrest of Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the brutal murder of eight police officers in Chaubepur area of Uttar Pradesh‘s Kanpur district.
Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the Chaubepur incident, has been arrested from Mahakal Temple, Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. In this regard, retired police sub-inspector Om Kumar, father of martyred Rahul, said that he will get relief only if he is given the same punishment as what he has done.
He said that the police had claimed that 100 teams and 10 thousand personnel were deployed to arrest Vikas. All boundaries were sealed, then how Vikas first reached Faridabad then Ujjain where his in-laws put up. The biggest question is that he first manages to enter the temple, then introduces himself shouting that he is Vikas Dubey and then the police arrest him.
He also questioned the in-charge of the Chaubepur police station and said that what was the reason that he was posted in Chaubepur for so many days that no soldier stays in a police station for so long. He also alleged that PK Vane, the then SSP of Kanpur, was given protection.
On the other hand, murdered policeman Rahul’s sister Nandi said that yesterday it was being said that Vikas was in Faridabad and today he was arrested from Ujjain. They asked if the police were not helping them.
