Panchkula Business Board President Surender Pal Singh quits BJP, joins Congress
Surender Pal Singh recently met State Congress President Kumari Selja and expressed his desire to join the party. Once again, he is formally inducted into the party. Mr. Singh said that this is his return home.
Chandigarh: In Haryana, Panchkula Vyapar Mandal president Surender Pal Singh has quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the Congress.
Mr. Singh had recently met State Congress President Kumari Selja and expressed his desire to join the party. He was formally inducted into the party by his supporters, including Ram Kishan Gurjar, Political Secretary Ms. Shailaja at the State Congress Headquarters and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary.
State spokesperson Ranjita Mehta and former Panchkula Municipality chairman Ravinder Rawal were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Singh said that this is his return home. Earlier he was active in the Congress party but due to some misunderstandings, he had joined BJP. He said that he will work to strengthen the Congress. Mr. Gurjar assured Mr. Singh to give him full respect in the party.
