PM-CARES Fund Trust decides to allocate funds for Covid in Patna, Muzaffarpur

PM-CARES Fund Trust has decided to allocate funds for fight against COVID-19 by way of establishment of 500-bed COVID-19 Makeshift Hospitals at Patna & Muzaffarpur, Bihar by DRDO.

New Delhi: The PM Cares Fund has allocated funds for 500-500 bed Covid hospitals in Patna and Muzaffarpur in Bihar for public support in the challenge of global epidemic Covid-19.

The Prime Minister’s Office gave this information on Monday by tweeting in this regard.

A PMO tweet stated, “PM-CARES Fund Trust has decided to allocate funds for fight against COVID-19 by way of establishment of 500-bed COVID-19 Makeshift Hospitals at Patna and Muzaffarpur, Bihar by DRDO. This will go a long way in improving COVID care in Bihar.

The PMO said that the 500-bed hospital at Bihta in Patna will be inaugurated today, while the 500-bed hospital at Muzaffarpur will also be started soon.

Another tweet stated that these hospitals have 125 ventilator ICU beds and both have 375–375 normal beds. Oxygen supply is also be arranged with each bed. The services of doctors and assistant medical personnel in both hospitals will be provided by military medical services.

Even before the PM Care Fund, Rs 3,100 crore has been allocated for the purchase of various medical services and equipment.
