CAIT wrote a letter to Mr Javadekar today, calling for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban the use of plastic once used, in the business and industrial world. He said that if the situation was not clarified, there would be many obstacles in the way of the campaign.

The Confederation requested that the Environment Ministry should immediately issue the instructions so that the business and industrial world could also prepare themselves accordingly.

The Confederation also said that October 2 is an important day for the prevention of once used plastic in the country, which is not too far away, so the ministry should convene a meeting of all the relevant parties to discuss detailed instructions. ۔
