Unlock 3.0: Schools, colleges, metro to remain closed, night curfew ends
Unlock 3.0 guidelines have been issued, under which schools, colleges, metro will remain closed and curfew will not be in force anymore. These guidelines will come into effect from August 01 and will continue till August 31.
New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday issued the Unlock-3 guidelines, under which the night curfew has been put an end. However, schools, colleges, metros, cinema halls, swimming pools and bars are decided to be kept closed as usual.
According to the ministry, these instructions will come into effect from August 01 and will continue till August 31. Yoga institutes and gyms have been allowed to open from August 05. Independence Day celebrations can be conducted, but the physical distance will be mandatory.
The guidelines state that no separate permit or e-permit will be required for the movement of people or goods inter-state or intra-state. Social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural, religious programs and large gatherings of people will not be allowed. During this period, the use of the Arogya Setu app will be promoted.
Lockdown restrictions in all containment zones will be strictly enforced till 31 August. All activities outside the Containment Zone will be allowed.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that strict parameter control will be implemented in the Containment Zone. Only necessary activities will be allowed. The information of these containment zones will be shared on the website of the respective district magistrate and all the states and centre areas.
The views of the states and union territories were sought on the guidelines issued on Wednesday and extensive consultations were conducted with the concerned central ministries and departments before issuing guidlines.
