Unlocking in Delhi: relaxation in view of the ‘central’ lockdown instructions

Kejriwal on precautionary self isolation; unethical remarks from netizens

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said today that permission has been granted to open all the barbershops, saloons in the national capital of Delhi. However, the spa and massage parlours will remain closed. The Delhi Chief Minister has given this relaxation in view of the lockdown instructions from the Centre.

According to the instructions of the central government, there will be a curfew imposed from 2100 to 0500 hours and only essential services will be permitted.
Mr. Kejriwal had also sought suggestions from the people to open the boundaries of Delhi.

He said in an online press conference that the government has decided to open the saloons and barbershops whereas the spa centres would not be opened at the moment.

A limited number of commuters were allowed on auto-rickshaws previously. Now, now this ban has also been lifted. Moreover, the limit of riders on a four-wheeler and two-wheelers has also been removed. The Chief Minister said that now all the markets and shops will be opened. Earlier, they were permitted only odd-even basis.
