Vikas Dubey has been arrested from the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Police have beefed up security arrangements with him in custody.

Ujjain: Vikas Dubey, the notorious crook of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested today from Mahakaal Temple of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.

A senior police official confirmed that Dubey was arrested from the Mahakal police Chowki area here. The Madhya Pradesh Police has made elaborate security arrangements by taking him into his custody.

He was absconding after the killing of 8 police officers in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh a few days ago. The Uttar Pradesh Police was in an operation to haunt him.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra has also confirmed the arrest of Vikas Dubey. He took on the microblogging site Twitter and posted a video with this information.
