Vikas Dubey's encounter receives harsh criticism from opposition

Many leaders including Akhilesh Yadav and Priyanka Gandhi have started criticizing the government over the death of Vikas Dubey in a police encounter.

Lucknow: On Friday, the opposition has started criticizing the government, questioning the death of Vikas Dubey, the main accused of the Kanpur incident, in a police encounter.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief  Akhilesh Yadav, calling the encounter as fake, tweeted, “Actually this car is not overturned. The government has survived from turning over.”

Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Om Prakash Rajbhar also wrote in his tweet, “What was feared of actually has happened.”

Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote in her tweet, “Who is behind the crime? truth should come out.”

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and Union Minister Jitendra Prasad said, “People expect justice from the government, not the revenge. This is the difference between a soldier and a criminal. ”

Vikas and his gang fired heavily on a police team on the night of July 2 in Bakro village of Chaubepur in Kanpur, in which eight police officers have been martyred while seven others were injured. Vikas had more than 60 criminal cases registered earlier. He was the main accused of the incident. The police had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for his arrest.
