Damascus: The terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) attacked a Syrian military base in eastern Syria, killing 8 soldiers and taking 3 hostages.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the war, reported that the Islamic State (ISI) attacked a Syrian military base on the outskirts of the city of al-Mayadin in the eastern state of Deir-Az-Zor.
The attack is the latest series of IS-led crackdowns in the desert region of eastern Syria.
