BJP urges Maharashtra government to stop financial aid to Madrasas

Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP MLA and spokesperson Atal Bhatkhalkar has today written a letter to the Maharashtra government seeking an immediate end to all financial assistance given by the government to religious madrassas.
Referring to the BJP government in Assam, he said that the government there has stopped giving aid to madrasas. In such a situation, the Hindutva government of Maharashtra should also take an immediate decision in this regard.
He further said that religious madrassas of the state should also be examined and it should be ascertained what education is given to them in madrasas.
According to Bhatkhalkar, these children deprived of government assistance will be able to get modern education and contribute to the development of the country.
