Congress stages protests outside governor houses across India today
The Congress party is staging protests against the policies of the BJP in front of various governer houses from 11 AM today.
New Delhi: The Congress party has termed the policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as anti-democratic. The party has said that today it will stage protests at the Raj Bhavans (governer houses) across the country against the plot to outpower the democratically elected governments.
The Congress yesterday launched a ‘Save Democracy, Save Constitution’ campaign on social media and said that it has exposed the BJP’s conspiracy.
All India Congress Committee spokesperson Ajay Maken said on Sunday that his party would hold demonstrations on Monday outside every governor houses in the country. “To save democracy in Rajasthan, Congress party will stage a protest outside every state’s Raj Bhavan”, Mr. Makan said.
Accusing the BJP government at the Centre of making pressure on the Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra to not to call an Assembly session, Mr. Maken said that it is against the constitution to ignore the proposal of the democratically elected government. “The crisis is unprecedented”, he added.

The campaign was attended by members of the Working Committee, Chief Ministers of various states, senior leaders, Members of Parliament and members of the Legislative Assembly. The party released videos and messages demanding the Governor of Rajasthan to call a meeting of the Legislative Assembly.
The Congress party launched a campaign to protest against the BJP policies in front of various governer houses from 11 AM today. The protest will be participated by senior leaders and activists from its state units. The Congress party alleged that the governors are plotting to form the BJP government and are plotting to topple the democraticially elected governments.
