‘Increasing corruption and atrocities under BJP-ruled UP’, says Akhilesh Yadav
Corruption is on the rise in Uttar Pradesh. The government has no control over it. In the BJP government, farmers, Dalits, upper castes, backward classes, minorities, youth and even media professionals are not safe.
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, saying that the government has no control over corruption and insecurity in Uttar Pradesh.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Mr. Yadav said that there is no institution called ‘government’ in the state. In the BJP government, farmers, Dalits, upper castes, backward classes, minorities, youth and even media representatives are not safe. He said that in the presence of the police in Jaunpur, dalits open fire at the police.
He said that a girl is raped in Kasganj and the police harass the victim’s family. The cowardice criminals killed a journalist in Ghaziabad where the day before, the journalist had lodged a police complaint expressing suspicion of assault on him. The police took no action and the journalist had to lose his life.
The former chief minister alleged that instead of helping people amid growing cases of coronavirus, BJP leaders are indulged in liquor. After Kanpur, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, BJP worker has been arrested for illegal liquor business in Kashani. All crimes are being committed under the supervision of the authorities.
He said that the BJP government is not serious about covid situation in the state. Even in these days of crisis, the post of Director General of Medical Services is vacant. The government is unable to appoint a qualified director general. He said that when there is no head of the department, how will the department function properly.
There is also a shortage of paramedical staff and doctors in hospitals. Appointments to these posts are also pending. The medical department is in a bad state. Team-11 has also realized this. No signs of improvement are visible.
