‘Real enemy is not Pakistan but China, India needs Manmohan Singh today’: Sharad Pawar
India’s real enemy is not Pakistan but China, there is no need to worry about Pakistan. The country’s economy has been badly affected by the lockdown. Manmohan Singh is needed today to get the country out of this crisis.
Mumbai: Describing China as the real and main enemy of India, Nationalist Congress Party President and former Defence Minister Mr. Sharad Pawar said that the real enemy of India is not Pakistan but China. He said that India didn’t need to worry about Pakistan.
There is a huge difference between the military power of Pakistan and China. Trouble and loss we get from China is not minor. When it comes to the question as to who is our enemy, Pakistan’s name first comes to our minds. However, the country does not need to worry too much about Pakistan. Mr. Pawar made these remarks in an interview with Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP and the editor of the party mouthpiece Saamna.
He said, ‘it cannot be denied that Pakistan is not our ally and remains involved in anti-India activities. However, if considered on a long-term basis, then the power to harm and hurt our interests is only China that can do. China is a big threat to our country. The harm done by China is not minor.’

‘If we compare our military strength, air force, navy, army, weapons, and ammunition and explosives with China’s army today, China is ten times more than us. He has achieved this through conscious effort over a few years’, he added.
Mr. Pawar said, ‘India has never focused on this country before. Recently the picture has changed. It is a matter of concern that China has infiltrated to our borders and killed 20 of our soldiers.’
Reacting to other subjects in the interview, Sharad Pawar has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs the help of some experts to restore the economic situation. Does the country need Manmohan Singh? When asked, he said, ‘One hundred percent is required.’ Modi also needs the help of some experts to take the country out from the financial crisis and revive the economy in the face of an economic crisis.
He said, ‘The COVID-19 epidemic is spreading in the country. A lockdown has been announced in the country to prevent Coronavirus infection. This lockdown has affected the economy heavily. In this situation, the country today needs Manmohan Singh.’
