RLD: Central government fails to win minorities’ trust
Lucknow: Rashtriya Lok Dal has said that the Modi government has failed to do inclusive growth winning minorities’ trust. Commenting on the completion of one year of the second term of the central government, Rashtriya Lok Dal has said that the Modi government has failed to support all, development for all, the trust of all (sabka sath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas)”
A spokesperson for the RLD has said in a statement issued today that the government had failed to win the confidence of the country’s minority community even in the elections conducted in this period. Passing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill has created a sense of insecurity among the minorities. These are the minorities who make up about 35% of the population, which does not seem to go away with that in the near future.
He said that the Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh, Lucknow’s Ghantaghar and Gomti Nagar, Kanpur, Azamgarh, Sanbhal, and Sahanpur’s minority community’s months-long historic protests by women were unprecedented in the country’s history. It is quite surprising in a democracy that no representatives of the central government tried to reach the protestors.
He said that the farmers and labourers constitute 80% of the population of the country. Due to the Coronavirus epidemic, the condition of the workers in the country has gone worst and pathetic. Situations have been so disturbing for the common people. The government’s materialistic system and attachment to corporate houses are the reason for the plight of the workers.
In a country where the situations of its citizens are miserable and there seems no easy way out, in what sense the government sings its victory song or writes emotional letters to the people of the country. Such expressions seem strange.
