Afghan Air Force helicopters helicopters collide, 15 people killed
Two Afghan Air Force helicopters crashed when they were taking down the command and carrying the injured security forces.
Kabul: At least 15 people were killed when two army helicopters collided in Nawa district of Helmand province in Afghanistan.
Tola News quoted security forces sources as saying that two Afghani Air Force helicopters collided with each other in Nawa district of South Helmand on Tuesday night. At least 15 people have died in this accident.
According to sources, the accident took place when helicopters were taking down the command and carrying the injured security forces. Another source said that eight people have died in this accident.
The Ministry of Defence has not commented on the incident. Provincial Governor spokesman Omar Zwak has confirmed the accident in Nawa district but has not given details.
