China’s outrage over US order to shut Chinese embassy in Houston
China has resented the US order to close the Chinese embassy in Houston; threatened to retaliate.
Washington: China has strongly objected to the US order to close Chinese embassies in Houston and Texas. China has warned that it would respond because it considers it an act of political provocation.
The Chinese embassy here said in a statement on Wednesday, ‘we strongly condemn and strongly oppose the abrupt closure order of the Chinese consulate in Houston. We demand immediate withdrawal of this decision from the US. Otherwise, China will have to respond with legitimate and necessary action.’
The US has ordered to close them by Friday, accusing the Chinese missions located in Houston and Texas of spying.
