Bomb blast in Pakistan, 6 killed in Pak-Iran border

Islamabad: 6 Pakistani soldiers were killed in an IED blast in the Pakistan-Iran border in western Pakistan. This information was provided by Maj. General of the Army Babar Iftikhar.

The Maj Gen. said on Friday, “An officer and five jawans were killed in an IED blast while patrolling at Baleda area near Balochistan on the Pakistan-Iran border. He said no terrorist group had claimed responsibility for the blast.”

It is to be noted that Pakistan has been facing an insurgency in Balochistan since 1947.
